Violet Geneva Goss Reece, age 75 of Clarkesville, Georgia took her Heavenly flight home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 26, 2024.
Born in Clarkesville, Georgia on February 15, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Frank Goss, Sr. & Georgia Lee Nations Goss Sosebee. Geneva was a former manager with Stoney’s Family Restaurant where she faithfully served her customers for over 30 dedicated years. She was a selfless person, putting the needs of others first ahead of her own. Geneva enjoyed Facebooking and working her circle word puzzles in her spare time. Most of all, she loved her family tremendously.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Davie Reece; infant son, Davie Joe Reece; daughter, Donna Reece; step-father, Coy “Pa” Sosebee; brothers, Robert Eugene “Gene” Goss, Randolph Goss, & Frank Goss, Jr.; sisters, Frances Free, Betty Jean Burton, Linda Faye Goss, Mae Jones, Mary Umbehant, & Ruby Lee Farmer.
Survivors include her daughters & son-in-law, Kaye Reece Patterson & John Patterson of Toccoa, GA; Sandra Reece of Clarkesville, GA; Juanita Reece of Demorest, GA; son, Kenneth Reece of Cornelia, GA; grandchildren, Mitchell Vinson, Davey Patterson, Gregory Jones, Breelin Reece, Landon Reece, & Jakobi Reece; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024 from the McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Chapel with Rev. Bill Trotter & Pastor Jeryle Roach officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until the service hour.
