(Dawsonville)-  The White County  Warriors faced off against the Dawson County Tigers on their home turf Friday night, hoping to  turn the first win of the season into a streak; however it was not to be.

The game started with White County winning the coin toss and deferring for the 6th  time in a row, it was the only thing the Warriors would see the winning side of for the remainder of the evening.

Almost immediately, last weeks MVP Kaleb Crane was injured and had to be helped off the field.

A few minutes later minutes later came the first of what would be quite a few touchdowns from the Tigers. By the end of the first quarter, it was 15 to nothing, and by the half, Dawson County  increased that lead to 25.

Following an extended Homecoming Halftime, the Tigers got back at it scoeing their 4th  touchdown, and by  the end of the 4th quarter , Dawson had pushed  the final score to 46 – 0.

The Captain D’s MVPs this week were:

Offense – Nasser Clarke (several good runs moving the ball)c

Defense – Malik Cannon (several great tackles and a great runback on a kick off return)

 

Next Week (9/30) – White County is on the road again returning to Lumpkin County for the make-up game against the Indians. There would be no admission charge for this game.
