The Warriors were in Pickens County last night to take on the Dragons in their first game of regional play.

White County chose to receive after winning the coin toss and an impressive push downfield was not able to yield any results, but the Warriors held back the Dragons and the first quarter ended with no score.

The second quarter saw more back and forth until Warrior quarterback Tripp Nix took off for a 38-yard touchdown run with just under two minutes left in the half. That would be the only score and the second quarter would end with White County in the lead 7 to 0.

Play action would increase in the second half with the Warriors picking up an additional 14 points and the Dragons would finally make it onto the scoreboard as the third quarter ended with White County ahead 21 to 7.

In the fourth quarter, with under four minutes left, White County added an additional 3 points with a field goal by Hayden Vandigrift. A huge interception by Gaines Clarke would keep the Dragons from scoring any more during the game and White County would take the win with a final score of 24-7 Warriors.

Captain D’s players of the game were Cade Dockery and Brayden Roach. White County takes on North Hall at Warrior Stadium for Homecoming next week. Be sure to tune into WRWH for UGA today, pregame at 3:30 with Kickoff at 7:30.
