84-year old J.B. Ramey-Photo Barrett Funeral Home 

(Cleveland)- A well-known White County resident has died as a result of a multi-vehicle accident that occurred last week in Habersham County.  84-year-old J.B. Ramey of Cleveland was seriously injured in the accident on October 14 on GA 365 at Duncan Bridge Road near Baldwin.

Habersham County Coroner Kasey McEntire said Monday Ramey succumbed to those injuries Sunday, October 20, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.

Ramey was one of six people who were injured as a result of the crash. Ramey was the owner of Ramey Motors, a former sheriff’s deputy, and a retired captain of White County Fire Station 2.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time,” McEntire said.

Barrett Funeral Home of Cleveland is in charge of funeral arrangements.
