(Cleveland)- The White County Board of Commissioners issued three proclamations earlier this week during their meeting. The commission board presented to the Northeast Georgia Veterans Society a proclamation in honor of “ Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day” and designated Tuesday, March 29th as a day to honor Vietnam Veterans.

They also approved a resolution that recognized the White County Parks and Recreation youth basketball teams who participated in the 2022 Georgia Parks and Recreation Association State Championships. White County Commission Chairman Travis Turner in reading the proclamations recognized the Girls 10U team, who completed the season with an 8-0 record and making it to state championships, the 10-year-old boy’s team was recognized for being a state contender with a 4-2 Record. And the Girls 8U team, which were State Runner-ups with a 5-2 record were recognized.

The commission board also approved a proclamation in recognition of April being Child Abuse Prevention Month.
