(Cleveland)- White County government has a Customer Service Team that works to find innovative ways to encourage and engage staff to enhance their customer service skills both internally and externally.
Chairperson Bonnie Abernathy says, “Our team meets monthly and provides recommendations on how to improve customer service as we deal with the public.” She said, we also recognize an employee who exemplifies outstanding customer service with a “pickle” award. The employee gets their own spotlight in the White County Newsletter, a “pickle” button, a gift card, and bragging rights with a trophy for that month.
The employee also gets recognition on WRWH radio and website so the community can see what the county is doing to encourage excellent customer service.
According to Abernathy, this is a frontline employee-driven committee that are non-supervisory employees that represent every department of White County Government.
Judy Gilreath was selected as the November “Pickle” winner! Judy has worked with White County since March 2015, she worked for approximately 6 years doing real estate recording for the Clerk of Court’s office and in May 2021 she joined the Probate Court under Judge Ferguson filing Probate cases and handling death records. Prior to 2015, Judy worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance for 35 years.
An interesting fact about Judy is that she is the pianist for Mount Olive Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. She loves people, family, and church. Some of her favorite foods include steak, potatoes, and a good salad. Her favorite time of the year is Spring when the flowers are blooming. She also loves working in the yard. Judy loves spending time with her children and grandchildren and family dinners.
