(ATLANTA) – The Georgia Department of Labor has announced the November unemployment rate in White County was 4.3 percent down three tenths of a percentage point from the revised 4.6 percent October rate.
The labor department said in November the labor force was 13,994, of those 13,395 were employed while 599 were unemployed.
The Georgia Mountains region unemployment in November was 4.4 percent, down four-tenths of a percentage point from 4.8 percent in October. The rate in November 2014 was 5.4 percent.
At 4.4 percent, Georgia Mountains’ rate is at its lowest point since April 2008 when it also was 4.4 percent.
