Ann “Josie” Strange Caudell, age 83 of Baldwin, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015.
Born in Banks County on February 3, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Harrison and
Samantha Fowler Strange. Mrs. Caudell was retired from Ethicon and was a member of First
Baptist Church of Cornelia. In her spare time, she enjoyed the outdoors, reading, drawing, and
spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur W. Caudell
and several brothers and sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Laren & Kenneth Chastain of Cornelia; sons and
daughters-in-law, Dale & Lisa Caudell of Homer and David & Dana Caudell of Panama City, FL;
grandchildren, Jacob & Joshua Brown of Cornelia, Nicolas Caudell of Anchorage, AL, Kody
Caudell of Homer, Emily Caudell of Panama City, FL; step-grandchildren, Drake Chastain of
Clarkesville and Kody Chastain of Mt. Airy and Cathy Norona of Baldwin; step-great
grandchildren, Gavin Chastain, Conan Chastain, and Shelby Norona.
Funeral services are 3:00 pm Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin
& Stewart with Pastor Tim Beasley and Jacob Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony
Baptist Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Tuesday.
