(Cleveland)- As part of the this weeks Compassion Week activities, sponsored by White County Baptist Churches and others, the community block party at Freedom Park in Cleveland Tuesday night attracted a lot of people in the community as they came together for a fun evening.
In addition to free food, there was plenty of activities for the children. Other more concentrated block parties are scheduled in different neighborhoods this week.
Rev. Joey Pritchett one of the organizers for the weeks activities said they have Construction Crews working to help people in need with building projects, people are helping provide food for area children during the Seamless Summer Feeding program, and volunteers are helping paint at the Cleveland Care Center on Campbell Street in Cleveland this Thursday afternoon.
