Donald Franklin Wendt, age 65, of Cleveland, GA passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021, following a sudden illness. Donald was preceded in death by his father, William Frances Wendt Sr.; mother, Frankie Irene Wendt Mize; stepfather, Bill Mize; sons; Johnathan Wendt and Jeremiah Wendt.
He is survived by his daughters; Wendy Wendt (David Crisp) and Kari McDuffie (Justin); grandchildren, Johnathan Wendt II, Haleigh Pennington, Donya Wendt, Leah Crisp, Ivey Wendt, Alexis Wendt, Jeremiah Wade Wendt; and brother; William Frances Wendt Jr. (April).
Donald was a man of many interests, as a young man he served in the United States Marine Corps, upon returning home he went to college and received a BS in Accounting. Donald enjoyed the outdoors, walking through the woods, by creeks, you name it, he also enjoyed music, and tearing stuff down. He may have been known to enjoy a good fire. Donald was fun loving and enjoyed a good party, he worked hard and he played hard. He was a good man who touched many lives. He will be missed.
