DAHLONEGA | Jordan Livesay connected on six three-pointers to lead the University of North Georgia women’s basketball team to a decisive 94-60 win over Erskine
on Saturday afternoon in UNG’s Memorial Hall. The contest was the final women’s game of the Peach Belt / Conference Carolinas Conference Challenge.
The junior from Woodstock hit all but one of her seven tries from behind the three-point line to score a game-high 22 points. Her six threes matches the UNG NCAA-era single game record.
NOTES
– The Peach Belt won all four games with both North Georgia and Francis Marion going 2-0 against Erskine and North Greenville.
– FMU defeated North Greenville, 69-55, in the first game of the day.
– UNG freshman Lochlain Corliss scored a career-high 13 points on a perfect 4-of-4 from the floor.
– Julie McKie and Cierra Jackson added 11 and 10 respectively for the Nighthawks.
– Kristen Giles led four Erskine players in double figures with 15 points, while teammate Naomi Stuger added a double-double of 10 points and 10 assists.
– As a team, North Georgia hit 11-of-22 (50%) field goals from behind the three-point line.
– Head coach Buffie Burson‘s team was posted consecutive season-opening victories for the third straight year.
– 11 different Nighthawks made their way into the scoring column.
